Fight or flight
A female refugee runs through Paris, with her only belonging -a gold survival blanket. The survival instinct, hope, struggle, and despair.
Beyond the known
Beyond the known is an experimental found footage short film. It’s a hybrid form, part of the archives being analog, the other digital. The film plays on the superposition of these two aesthetic registers to evoke a chronological continuity in the fight of the human being against obscurantism and dictatorships, whatever their nature is.
Us
“Us” is a short film of animation which mixes several Stop Motion techniques, proposing a journey through the conflicted human condition. War, loneliness, nature, crossings, fallen dreams are some of the recurring aspects in this animated poem on paper.
Dislocations
Underground hand-developed film, shot on 16 mm camera, represents a deeply personal attitude of film directors to St. Petersburg, their hometown. The city appears as a place of the Unconscious, where obscure pictures of the houses interpenetrate with images of abstract art, in parallel with pictures of destruction of the city represented by the frames of II World War newsreel. The film is made as a trip where the real city walk transforms into the mindflow, depicting the play of memory, phantasms and traumatic history.

Collectively, they are great circus artists performing in the magnificent landscapes of Ethiopia.

Isthmus, a Narrowing of Land
Isthmus tells the story of an indigenous struggle against a new form of extractive colonialism. Between the Pacific Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico lies the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, Mexico’s windiest region. It is largely inhabited by Zapotec and Ikoots people who draw their subsistence from the land and sea, which they view as both sacred and communal. Recently, this narrow strip of land has become a lucrative and dangerous battleground, as foreign investment pours into the region and thousands of wind turbines are constructed.
The film explores the inherent contradictions hidden within the promise of clean energy and economic growth. It interweaves indigenous wisdom and storytelling, while attempting to distance itself from an anthropocentric perspective.

This film is a meditation on mixed Indigenous identity, spirit worlds, death, language loss (residential school survival), misunderstanding, and animal surrogates. Low-res camera trap footage from Yukon river ecology surveys is combined with interviews of Alaska Native elders, field recordings, and music performed and composed by Weaver, an attempt to find understanding and language after the deaths of fathers and grandfathers alike.
